About Lighthouse Electric of Point Place

Lighthouse Electric of Point Place has been wiring homes and businesses around Toledo since 2023. It is a licensed Ohio electrical contractor working out of Point Place, the lakeside neighborhood on the north side of the city. Casey Grup runs the company and does the work. When you call, you are talking to the person who will be looking at your panel.

The work splits about evenly between homes and businesses. On the residential side that means repair and troubleshooting, whole-house rewiring, knob-and-tube replacement, aluminum branch-wiring remediation, panel and service upgrades, EV charger installation, and wiring for new construction and remodels. Licensed, bonded and insured

Lighthouse Electric holds Ohio electrical contractor license #50207, carries general liability insurance, carries workers' compensation, and is bonded. Those four things are the plain answer to the question most people are really asking before they let an electrician into the building.

Lighthouse is also a Qmerit certified EV charging installer, which is the credential most EV manufacturers and utilities point customers toward for a Level 2 home charger.

Permits and inspections are handled as part of the job. We pull the permit where the job calls for one and meet the inspector, so that piece does not land on you.

Where we work

Point Place, Toledo, and the surrounding area are home ground. Lighthouse also travels the I-75 corridor south toward Dayton, particularly for commercial work, where a customer with more than one location often wants the same electrician at each of them.

There is no shop or storefront to visit. The business runs off the trucks, which is how a working electrical contractor is set up: the tools, the material, and the person doing the job all arrive together. It keeps the overhead down and keeps the schedule moving.

How the work runs

Scheduled work is booked Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, and the normal lead time is about a week. Emergency service is a separate track and is available 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays, because a dead panel or a burning smell in the wall does not wait for Monday.

Pricing is direct. A standard service call and diagnostic is $180. A Level 2 EV charger installation runs about $750. A 100 to 200 amp panel upgrade runs about $5,200. Larger estimates depend on the job, the building, and what is found once the covers come off, and you get the number before the work starts.

Whether the job is a single bad circuit or a full rewire, it gets the same approach: find the actual problem, explain what is going on in language that makes sense, do the work correctly, and clean up.
